The DraMetallic Project
The DraMetallic Project launched in 2020 is the brainchild of Zsolt Siklói and Balázs Szabó. The sculptor’s 3D works are transplanted into premium quality 2D works rightfully arousing the interest of collectors of contemporary art and design enthusiasts. The visual content of the works is easy to appreciate, while an astounding meticulousness and richness of detail is achieved by the state-of-the-art implementation: a top notch photographic process and an uncompromisingly high standard printing technology. The Hasselblad photo combined with Piezography and Epson premium ultrachrome HDR printing technologies guarantees life-like images that, wherever they are placed, create a visual experience rivalling that of the original works. The sculptor
“I’ve always been fascinated with machines and admired their operation and complexity. Ever since my childhood, whenever I discovered the soul of a huge engine or a quiet clockwork, I felt an irresistible urge to touch the essence of the mechanism and explore the precise interaction of its parts. I see the perfection of a turbocharger as a work of art embodying the engineer’s triumph and astounding power. The balance of form and function in the natural environment can be found in these works just like in the awe-inspiring proportions of precisely designed monstrous machines. You can discover the same gracefulness or threatening sight in my sculptures that can be observed in the world of animals. A crucial principle I followed during their making was to minimise welding and to choose the right finish. My sculptures are characterised by the mechanical world of steampunk, dieselpunk, atompunk and cyberpunk.”
